Make Your Network

The old methods of communicating with a printed and mailed Canyon State Lion are gone — we’re going digital. With that comes an opportunity to expand our OUTREACH into the communities “We Serve!” by including more photos, more content, and more promotional opportunities for clubs and members to promote local service and fundraising activities. The forum is now yours.

With the new year, it’s time to build your network. At the Council and District levels, that’s what your Council of Governors is focused on doing in the months leading up to our State Convention in May.

In addition, we’re adding a new focus to social media — check out @LionsArizonaMD21 page on Facebook and Instagram. Have you “Like It” to the post to get connected?

Lion Richard Stevenson says, “If you don’t post a picture, it didn’t happen!” — and he’s right! Let’s take his advice and start ‘tooting our own’ successes in our communities — the service activities, the fundraising events, the good work we’re all doing.

In the business world, our success goes beyond merely the financial reward of doing a good job, providing a good service, and receiving compensation (and accolades) for it. Good business is built on creating, expanding and developing a network of people, product, and promotion. In the words of Int’l. President Brian Sheehan, “Together We Can!”

A long time ago, I learned that the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. In our new digital world, our “first step” is making the call, sending the email, texting the message. You’ve got my cell number, the email for the digitalCSL is canyonstatelion@lionsarizona.org and you can text: (928) 612-2351.

Think of it this way, we’re ALL the editors and reporters of LionsArizona communications. Let’s take charge of how, what, where, when, and to whom we send our message. That’s how we’ll make our network …work!
