DG Marc C. Paquette, JD. MD21C District Governor
DG Marc C. Paquette, JD., was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. He has one older brother, one younger sister and brother. He has lived in many New England states California, Illinois, Florida, Texas and Arizona having moved 41 times. Upon graduation from High School he enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy for 8 years, 4 years active and 4 years reserve. While on reserve status he worked construction and as a paramedical examiner while attending under graduate school at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. He graduated in 1997 and went directly to Law School at Western New England College School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2001. Lion Marc took and passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam in July 2001 and the Arizona Bar Exam in July 2003.
DG Marc met his wife Lynn on a blind date set for St. Patrick’s Day March 1991 and were married May 22, 1993. Lion Marc worked in three different law firms before going out on his own in January 2006.
DG Marc became a Lion in January 2005. He has served as 1st Vice President 2006-2007, President 2007-2008 and 2009-2010, and Membership Director 2008-2011 for the Scottsdale Lions. In July 2008 the Scottsdale Lions Club honored him with the Melvin Jones Fellowship. He served as Zone chair for Zone 12 2010-2011 for MD21 District C. In 2010 he was recognized with a 10 Member Key from Lions International and in March 2011, he was honored to receive the 4th highest award a Presidents Letter of Commendation from President of Lions Clubs International, Sid Scruggs.
DG Marc is very active in his community; he served as an Ambassador for the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce receiving an Ambassador of the year award for 2006-2007. He also served on his alumni board for Law School from 2005 -2008 and was president during the 2007-2008 year. Lion Marc is involved with several charities in addition to his work as a Lion; those include Children with Autism, Big Brothers and Sister of Arizona, Toys for Tots, Junior Achievement, and Blankets for Babies.
