Lion Linda Vawter was born in Inglewood, California, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona.  Lion Linda earned an AA degree in Business Administration from Phoenix College, a BS degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University, and an MBA degree with an emphasis in Management and Marketing from Arizona State University.

For the past 27 years, Lion Linda has worked for the City of Phoenix where she began her career in the Housing Department and is currently at the Phoenix Central Library.

Linda was inducted into the Phoenix Biltmore Lions Club in 2002, served two terms as President, four years as a Board of Directors member, and was awarded the Lions President Award in 2008.  Lion Linda has served as a Zone Chair for three different zones for eight different clubs for five District Governors.  Lion Linda has been the 21-C Sergeant-at-Arms, Tail Twister, and Peace Poster Contest Chair.  Lion Linda is a graduate of the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute and has attended two Lions International Conventions.

Outside of Lion activities, Lion Linda enjoys working with the American Legion Arizona Boys State Program, the Scottsdale Quarterback Club, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, and the Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity.
