Lions District 21B Cabinet Secretary
Helen Coile

Lion Helen was born in New Mexico into a mining family. She married a mining engineer whose career took them to 4 states and to the Canadian provinces of Ontario and British Columbia. She is almost a native of Arizona, having lived in the state for a total of 32 years off and on.

Helen has a degree in elementary education, and holds a license to sell real estate which is now on referral status. She has two daughters and one thoroughly adored granddaughter. She was a Girl Scout Leader, and Sunday school teacher for more years than she likes to count!

Helen joined the Lions in 1998, after a friend told her that Lions were very interested in children and youth. Her husband had died, her children were busy in their careers, her career in real estate was good but didn’t offer much opportunity to be creative, so she decided to give the Lions a try. What a ride it has been! She has served and is serving her club in many ways, has been a zone chair 4 times, was Lion of the Year, has a certificate of appreciation from the International President and the Melvin Jones award. She discovered that being a Lion is serving young and old in the very best way - from the heart.
